Happy Halloween

As soon as the school year starts we at Small Folks are already thinking about Halloween. It is undoubtedly one of our favourite holidays to celebrate at the playschool. As usual, our groups began the preparations by starting to think about what they wanted to preform for parents. We brainstormed, and the wonderful teachers helped to come up with the perfect scary songs and poems. We then made some accessories and costumes to match and practiced, practiced, practiced until the day of the show. All groups did an amazing job with their performance and all the hard work was definitely worth it. Once the singing and dancing was over, it was time to kick back and relax with a spooky celebration.

The Innopoli Crazy Crocodiles made a super big and scary haunted house that all groups got to enjoy on the day of the party. We even left it up in our entrance for some visitors to check out as well! Our Beautiful Birds made a very scary spider web obstacle course in the sleeping room, which was so much fun to explore. We also had a very interesting sensory box activity over in the Tiny Tigers, where we got to feel a variety of unusual things with our hands. It was a big hit!

As always there were lots of yummy treats and snacks to enjoy, baked with help of course by the kids! All of our groups sure are super stars in the kitchen, because there were so many different things to taste and enjoy. We were so happy to see all of the children get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up, and actually the parents and teachers joined in on the fun too! We have so much fun any time there is a reason to get together and celebrate, and we hope everyone who came enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
